Guide to Exhibiting

An important part of the show is the exhibiting and this is designed for entry both by individuals who have exhibited frequently and for those for whom it is the first time. We particularly encourage newcomers to exhibit: it is a fun activity to take part in and is involving because you are showing your own work or those of children. This is a traditional village activity that is dying out in many places and we want it to thrive at our show, which can only happen if new people start to exhibit to replace those who can no longer do so.

It is open to everybody who lives within 3 miles of West End Church and to all others who subscribe or donate. See the section on postal subscriptions to subscribe and receive a schedule by post.

Exhibits are entered in a class which are listed under a class heading (see below). See the “How to Exhibit” page. Professional judges award 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes for each class as well as highly commended and commended. There is a montary prize for each 1st, 2nd and 3rd. There are a 33 cups or medals that are awarded – see the page on cups and medals.
